The singer of the song "Zhorzhiny" emphasized that he was very supportive of her at the start of her singing career.
People’s Artist of Ukraine Natalia Buchynska revealed for the first time which famous singer was her first love.
It turned out to be musician Oleg Turko (Lesyk), who spent many years with the band DZIDZIO and later pursued a solo career. Unfortunately, the artist passed away earlier this year, but, according to Natalia, she managed to tell her colleague about her teenage crush.
"Lesyk Turko was my first love. I told him that. He was also so unexpectedly pleasantly surprised. He helped me take my first steps in the festival scene. I arrived as a young girl in 1995, tried my best, fell short in some ways, but he saw a spark in me," Natalia confessed in a comment to RBC-Ukraine LIFE.

At the time, the musician emphasized that Buchynska should believe in herself more and not give up if something didn’t work out the first time. Many years later, the artists became friends; moreover, Lesyk promised to write a song together.
"I didn’t get the chance, you see, I didn’t get the chance. And I’m also to blame. Maybe I didn’t push for it; I hoped there was still time," the singer added.
By the way, in December 2024, Turko performed as a guest at Natalia Buchynska’s concert in Lviv, but while performing one of the songs, he suddenly collapsed on stage. Lesyk suffered cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital. He remained in the hospital for some time, but, sadly, his life was cut short. The musician was 58 years old.
